We make films with digital video as a media. Video is for us another form of art and the digital format allows us to be creative both with the shooting and editing.
No two films or corporate video pieces are alike, one because we are artists and get bored but mainly because no two people or businesses are alike. Some companies look for a standard cookie cutter to punch out the process of making video–we at fig work on the systems that allow creativity and the natural flow and individuality of each project to manifest. If you want something standard, and don’t really want to get involved, we are not the company for you. If you are creative or want to be call us.
We have 3 video artists who are trained in event and corporate fields. Michele’s background is in painting and printmaking, James background is film and corporate events, Carl’s background is art video and he is one of Chicago’s only steadi-cam operators. All three are aligned toward the principles of flow, truth and aliveness and look to create a hip document as well as a beautiful digital film that represents the subject–you.
Our editors are a team of talented individuals whose process is integral and who understand the value of being in touch with their feelings and well as technically abreast of their field. They attend weekly trainings and skill sharing meetings and discuss and show their work toward serving the client and making their piece the best it can be.
We can do effects, but we try to keep those to a minimum. Our standard, a beautiful clean edit with taste and discretion. Effects that are not seen, if you noticed a transition, it is possible that it takes away from the flow. We are creating documents. There will be blurry footage, shots that didn’t pan out, we cut out what we can but the film stands alone.
