“Hands On,” Makes Big Impact for local Non-Profit: Alternatives, with documentary film.
The fig team was brought in create a short film for the 40 years and growing fundraiser. With one month to complete the project and 40 years to cover, it was a big job to say the least. Loving the challenge, fig producer Megan Taylor and director Melissa Martens coached their clients through the process of writing a script that fig then took and turned into the piece you see.
Fig is a Do-Gooder at the Do-Gooders Do-Dah @ Autohaus.
On February 27, 2011, Fig Media partnered with Tamara Taylor of Planet Promotions for a first of its kind event – the Do-Gooders Do-Dah – where local philanthropists were recognized for their do-gooding! Over 100 charities were represented and an upward of 350 Chicagoland socialites gathered at the Autohaus on Edens in Northbrook. Best of all, over $50,000 in prizes were awarded to these do-gooders!
Meet the newest member of the fig team: Eric Hillman, music composer and deejay.
I first decided that I would write music for a living when I was 15 years old. I played a piano piece that I had written for a small group of my peers and after I had finished a girl walked up to me and said these words, “Your music makes me want to swim again.” It was in that moment that I realized that my music not only reached people on a purely visceral level, but a deeply emotional one as well. It was also at that point that I knew that I wanted to do just that for the rest of my life.
CS Evening of Bridal Luxury 2011- Bridal Fashion Editorial; The Watchtower.
On February 20, 2011 CS held its annual Evening of Bridal Luxury. Each year, Vera Wang Chicago presents the designers current collection fresh from New York. This year, the event was held at the Trump International Towers and sponsors of the event included, Dom Perignon, Hefferenan Morgan and Belle Vie Bridal Couture. The event benefits Bright Pink; an organization that advocates for women’s health. In addition to providing deejay, photography and film for the event fig produced an editorial fashion film with the help of all those involved in the event.
