Once our pilot project launched with Lyric Unlimited (see that case study here) Our team set about planning coverage to create media over the course of a full year for the Chicago Voices community created performances project. Community groups applied to receive resources from Lyric to create their own original work. Our team interviewed eight community groups and created short interviews for the public to vote on. From those eight groups, three were selected to participate in a six week program culminating in a live performance of the work they create together. Our team recently wrapped production documenting the process for a full year. We created a series of short films for Lyric to use in social media, blogs and on their website to promote the project.
Our suite of deliverables are designed to create a bulk of material that our editors can customize for multiple purposes. Our team focuses on making sure the audience feels like they are "in the action," while documenting where each group is in the process. These films are shot and edited within two weeks to allow Lyric to keep their audience engaged with the overall project. We are currently filming each group leading up to the final performance at the end of September.
