Change the Map; Tackling Chicago’s racist redlining practices.
The fig media team partnered with Woodstock Institute to create a stirring virtual media program for their annual virtual event. Tackling discriminatory lending practices in Chicago that contribute to poverty concentration, fig and Woodstock sought to shake up the systems that keep communities of color trapped in the poverty cycle. The feature-length program contained short films, drone footage, live virtual production, motion graphics, voice-over, breakout rooms and invite design.

Three Day Virtual Fundraiser for Racial Equity
Fig Media partnered with the Shriver Center to create a three-day virtual fundraising event fighting for social and economic justice. Directed by Senior fig filmmaker Melissa Fox, fig lead the pre-recorded project from script to screen. Created at the height of the pandemic. This virtual production was a smart use of zoom interviews, archives from our previous collaborations, a safe distance shoot, and crowdsourced videos. Pulling in new corporate sponsors, cultivating conversations about race and equity, and aiding Shiver in exceeding its 2020 fundraising goals. We are extraordinarily proud of the results.
